I know. I am a bad blogger/bad auntie/bad mom/bad friend. It is just that it is hard to imagine anybody wanting to know some of the day to day events of our family. I am working on my attitude-promise. I failed to mention that my best friend and nephew turned four in February. Sam is four and mad that his mom is pregnant with another GIRL!!!! He says he "hates dirls". One day that will change. I got the opportunity to take him to the store with me so he could pick his present. We had so much fun. Even Emmie was so concerned with finding him just the right toy. She was sure that he needed a barbie. Thank goodness he disagreed.
A few days after Sam's birthday I watched my friend's little girl Quincy. My girls were in heaven. Not long after she got here she crawled downstairs wearing a pink dress up. It was so cute. We all had a great time. Except for my nephew Sam. He was a little mad at me for having another "little friend". After dinner he came and said, "Auntie where did you find that?" I guess he is lucky that she was just visiting.Yesterday I had the opportunity to attend my cousin's wedding at the Logan Temple. It was so nice. He looked so happy and his wife was so pretty. It made me so grateful for my own wedding day. When no one in the world mattered but Tim and I. It was so fun.Til' next time!
We had planned to going skiing today. We all got up at 6am so we could be there in time for Emmie's lesson. We ate breakfast, got dressed, and turned on the news. They were showing pictures of the roads leading up the canyon. More cars were off the road than on. We all put our jammies back on and went back to bed.......Later we went to Chili's for lunch and then saw "Bridge to Terabithia". It was really good, but sad. We ended up having a fun day....Just not the day we had planned.
We had a pretty uneventful end of the week. I love that. Thursday was the usual car pools, basketball games, dance etc. . I went to a baby shower in Salt Lake for my mom's cousins daughter. (Did you get that-I don't really either!) She is thinking about naming her baby girl "Ryanne". That is a great name. The name of a winner. Ryanne, Emmie, Hanna and Tim went skiing for the day at Sundance. The other two kids couldn't miss school so they stayed home and spent the afternoon with me.
Friday I had a soccer game. We killed them. I don't remember the score. I was so happy to be breathing at the end I really didn't care what the score was. Soccer is hard-it doesn't matter how much I work out-I am dead after every game. I did get the pleasure of going on a "date" with Jaxson and his friend Bryce. We went to IHOP. I really don't like that place but the boys love it and well......
Today is Saturday. We have been to COSTCO-I love that store. I just got home from running. It is so nice outside I think I went pretty far. I will have to measure when we go out tonight. Tim and I are going out with some friends. Yes, it's true a real live DATE!!!
Monday we are going skiing at the Canyons. There is not one hotel room in Park City that is available tomorrow night. So we are not going until Monday morning. I am sure we will have fun.
I decided to go all out this year. (Don't anyone get used to it). I made pink pancakes for breakfast. Each kid got a "goody" bag. The table was set in red for the festivities. This is what it looked like.
Everyone got a new pink shirt to wear to school today. I even made barretts with hearts on them for Ryanne and Morgan. This is how cute everyone was before school.
Tim is home this week so he helped with the party in Morgan's class and I helped in Hanna's. We sent extra treats with Ryanne-her party was already taken care of. (Thank Goodness)Tim and I went to Park City overnight on Sunday. We spent Monday hanging out and shopping. I loved it. That was our Valentine celebration before we came home to the masses. Thanks Tim. I had a great time.I was up early and I am off to bed. Happy Valentines Day!
Today is Timmy's Birthday. He is the big 36. Wow! Does that seem old. Just joking babe. We actually had to celebrate Tim's birthday on Saturday. (He went out of town on Sunday). He got some great gifts. (I picked them out). We will be thinking of you all day today. WE MISS YOU!!!Here are some of the kids favorite things about Tim:Jaxson: "He is a boy. He rocks!"Hanna: "He always understands when I am having troubles with people at school."Morgan: "The love he gives to me and the job he has to keep a roof over our heads."Ryanne: "How much he cares and how nice he is." Emmie: "He's my daddy!"Mommy: His muscles! Really my favorite is when we are away together and he is funny and care free. He is a great dad. I love to watch him "play" with the kids.Happy Birthday. We love you so much. Hurry home.
