70's Night!

The Beehives had a 70's Daddy Daughter Dinner last night! Tim was out of town! Our neighbor and friend, Dave Crockett, saved the day. We are so lucky to have such great friends! NOTICE Hanna's bell bottoms......I MADE THEM!!!!!!! Hanna and Dave even won 2nd place in a game about how well you know each other! They were pretty amazing!

I have been enjoying this week. I have finished and started too many projects (ie. Bell bottoms for 70's night). The kids come home from school hot, hungry, and tired. They talk about new friends, classes they attended, teachers they like/dislike, crushes they have, and who they are going to play with at recess. Jaxson is a little too cool for all that, but seems to be enjoying High School.

I just had to show everyone this picture. This was me when Jaxson walked in the door yesterday. Any donations for his therapy??????

BACK TO SCHOOL!

I have been trying to upload pictures for three hours now! Finally, it put this one on but not the others. I wanted to get mine up before Shannon did!

Today was a great day. All of the kids got off to school without a hitch. Emmie has been so excited to start "fiwst gwade." I know it shouldn't be cute that my seven year can't say her "r's" but I will be sad when she can say them right. I played with my friend Carey all morning. I wanted to have chocolate chip cookies in the oven when the kids got home. I did! I also wore my friends apron and put flour on my cheeks. Jax walked in only to ask what I was wearing! I replied, "I have been slaving away all day making cookies for you." He was less than impressed! All of the kids loved warm cookies and cold milk for an after school snack. I even made dinner and had family night planned. I know....I am so good! I never did figure out why my neighbor wanted to come see if I was really cooking dinner. I think I took the summer off.
I will have to post more pics tomorrow!

One highlight of the day: Emmie came home from school and when I asked what her favorite part of today was, she said, "I got chocolate milk with my lunch!"

I don't have any great pictures of today. It was just the Sunday before school starts!! Let me say that again...., "IT IS JUST THE SUNDAY BEFORE SCHOOL STARTS!!!!!!!" I am so ready to have bedtimes and some kind of schedule around this place. I am up making a CD for one of my sweet Mia Maids that was REALLY nervous about school starting tomorrow. I have to admit....I LOVE WORKING WITH THE YOUNG WOMEN! They are such great girls. I have so fun much with them! I am grateful for the leaders that I had when I was young and pray every night that the girls will know how much I love them!

Jaxson and Hanna had to speak in church today. They both wrote their own talks. They were wonderful. Everyone said that were great and commented on what great kids they are. I just wish Tim had been able to hear them. I am so lucky to be their mom.

KINGFISHER RANCH!

We had such a fun weekend in Wyoming with Tim's family! The place we stayed was called Kingfisher Ranch. There were so many fun things to do. The kids favorite part was the COUSINS, COUSINS, AND MORE COUSINS. There were cousins we had never met and cousins we hadn't seen for a long time. Grandma and Grandpa Hellbusch set the whole thing up. The kids will NEVER forget the fun they had. We got to ride kayaks and horses and swim in a pond. THANKS GRANDMA AND GRANDPA FOR A GREAT TIME!

The pictures were all taken at the ranch. The last one is Tim with his brother, his sister, and his dad! It has been quite a while since they were all together! It was so fun to be a part of the reunion!

RYANNE'S BIRTHDAY!

Cute Ryanne turned 9 on July 27th! I know, I know, I am already soooo far behind. Ease up on a girl!!! I had been in Vegas with Morgan and Hanna and of course we shopped, so Ryanne got LOTS of presents. Tim was only in town for the day, but Ry loved having him here. She is such a great kid. We went around the table and everyone said one thing they loved about Ryanne. She is such a fun, easy going kid. We all love, love, love her so much. Our neighbors came over for cake and ice cream. They are living across the street in their parents basement while their house is being built. We won't know what to do when they move out!! We love them! Ryanne's primary teacher made her a pizza in the brick oven they had built in their yard. It is the best pizza ever! HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYANNE! WE LOVE YOU!

VIVA LAS VEGAS!

Hanna, Morgan, and I went to Las Vegas for a dance convention. My friend, Marnae and her daughter Brooke went too. The girls danced all day. We swam and ate all night. We got to see our friends Abby and Garron while we were there. They are so cute and we always have fun with them. I spent lazy days at the pool with Marnae. On the way home we stayed the night in St. George and saw "The Sound of Music" at the Tuacahn. It was so good. The girls loved it!
