Ice Breaker!

I did the "Ice Breaker" Triathlon in American Fork with my friend Brooke. (I use the term "with" loosely. She was miles ahead of me.) We have been training for a while now. I was soooo cold and my only goal was to get out of the water. So, I feel pretty good about the whole thing. Brooke has done triathlons before and is amazing. She is also an amazing person. I am grateful for the opportunity training for this gave me to get to know her. Brooke has a "strength" that I hope one day to possess. I love her and look up to her!
I loved every call I got after. (I think people were afraid I was dead on the side of the road!) Thank you to all "well wishers." I will always remember coming out and seeing the Crocketts. I love you guys and love even more that you were there for me at every turn! I am a lucky girl!!!

Ward Talent Show Videos!

Saturday our ward had a talent show. Aubree, dance teacher extraordinaire, taught all four of my girls a dance to the song "Cooties". It was so fun to watch the four of them dance together. I loved it. They did a great job and I was so proud of all of them.

Joy, neighbor extraordinaire, choreographed a synchronized swimming act that 5 of us did together. It was fun! I had so much fun practicing/laughing with everyone. Thanks for the fun Paulie, Brooke, Susan and Joy!!! You guys are awesome!

Take a look at the videos!

The whole night was great. Everyone has so many talents. From Napoleon Dynamite dancing to electric guitar playing. We had a great turnout considering Lone Peak was playing for the State Championship at the same time. (Lone Peak Lost) At the end of the day, it was a great activity for our ward: we laughed, we admired and we cheered for each other.!

Bored!!

One day last week all the kids were bored. I had a few of the neighbor kids over and everyone was restless! We played this game. I would say a word (happy, sad, monkey etc.) and they had to do the first thing that came to mind. Naturally, I took pictures. It was pretty fun and before long everyone was laughing!

Not sure what they were being!
"flying"
This is one of my faves....."spider". (Together they had 8 legs!)
"Booger" (I know, I know.....who tells a kid to be a booger!?
"Stinky"

I just love these guys!!!!

Sammy's Birthday

Today my nephew, Sam, turned 6!!!! I called his house before he went to school. Here is how the conversation went:

SAM-"Hi Auntie

ME/AUNTIE- "Happy Birthday to you. You live in a zoo. You look like a monkey, and you smell like one too! (Sung beautifully)

SAM-Doesn't make a comment

AUNTIE-"Did you like my song?"

SAM WITH DISGUST- "Well, not the MONKEY part!"

I love that kid! He came and stayed the night at my house, so we had presents hidden for him.
When Sam was 2 1/2 years old, I flew to Colorado to help Kate and Scott move back to Utah. Sam and I became fast buddies. He will call and say, "Auntie, can I come play at your house?" I loved our play dates! I still love our play dates but I have to remember that Sam is a "big guy" now and he loves me but he can't be overly affectionate any more. How sad? When I went to buy him a present I found myself looking in the cars and trucks.....things that he has long since outgrown! He has always been my buddy. I just have to accept that he is now my "little bit more" grown up buddy!

The party was at Chuck E. Cheese.
This is Sam hooking me with his pirate hook!
This is Brookie loving the rides!!!
Our friend, Kole, came and spent the night with us because his mom was having a beautiful new baby! He partied with us!
Emmie and cousin Avery just being silly!
Morgan letting Brooke drink pop.

We also danced, and had cake. It was a great day! Happy Birthday Sam I am!!!

Brooke/Daddy Daughter Dinner

I babysat Brooke the other day! It was so much fun. We played for hours. She is so busy and so cute! I just can't get enough of her! She would sit on my stairs and say, "Help Me!" She wasn't really in distress she is just a little dramatic! I love her!
I brought Jaxson and his friends Wendy's for lunch. Jaxson shared his Dr. Pepper with Brooke. She loves it! Shhhhh! Don't tell Kate! She was mad enough at my putting chocolate milk in Brooke's bottle. I guess what she doesn't know won't hurt her.
Rory, our favorite neighbor took Ryanne to her "Daddy Daughter Dinner." (Tim was out of town.) Rory even had a wrist corsage for Ryanne. She was so happy. She was definitely the princess for the day.
We are so lucky to have so many great people in our lives!!!!!!

Hawaii!

I could not have asked for a better vacation! Tim and I spent last week on Maui. We sat on the beach, snorkeled, ate, watched the wales, ate, sat by the pool, got massages by the pool, and ate some more. I just love Tim. I love our kids to death, but I honestly live for time alone with Timmy! And what better place????

I have so many people to thank for our trip. Obviously, Tim. It was wonderful and I love him. My sister, Kate, kept Hanna. Joy, neighbor extraordinaire, took the three little girls! (That is not easy.) Not only did she keep them, they went to Jungle Jims, two movies, out to eat, AND got breakfast in bed. She also let them play that they were rich and Joy was the servant, Pam. I owe Joy more than she will ever know. Jaxson stayed with his friend's family. My friend, Marnae, got us the great condo on Maui. Brooke offered rides, Paulie offered dinner, my mom and so many others helped in so many ways!!! Thank you to all!!!! Because of you, I got to do this......
What more could a girls ask for??????

The Days of Our Lives!

BROOKIE
came over for a visit. We ended up playing dress up! Isn't she so cute? I just love her!
Not the most appetizing picture, I know!!!! Jaxson and his crazy friend, Chase, made yams the other day after school! Who does that? I am not sure if I was more offended by them just making the yams, or by them calling Chase's grandma to find out how to make yams! I have a recipe for yams!!
This is my favorite story. I asked my friend if I could borrow all of the ingredients to make brownies. Then I asked if she would just go ahead and make them for me. I was totally joking. I was thrilled when she dropped brownies off that evening. Obviously, everyone loved them! Thanks Brooke!
